Well, that was a longish blogging break. In a nutshell, my family and I have been spending a lot of time helping my elderly disabled aunt, who recently had to move. She lives an hour and a half away, and I've been trying to see her weekly as she settles in and we try to get services set up. So it's been pretty tiring and very little knitting has been done.
Thanksgiving was nice, especially as my sister Les was able to stay with us for several days. Today my friend Karen and I hit several Christmas craft fairs. I bought some greenery, plus the cute little vintage salt and pepper carolers and snowman candle at top. Below, I had to buy the knitting themed ornament, which was $4. I could easily make them myself, of course- it's just yarn wrapped around a styrofoam ball, with mini knitting needles stuck through it. What a great way to use up left over yarn.
You are so very kind to help your aunt to settle in. It must have been a difficult time for you all. I love the salt and pepper shakers!! And yes, that is an excellent way to use up green and red and sparkly wool!!
It is nice to have you back!!!
