Thanks to all for your well wishes on my blogiversary. :-)
Hazel is finished and I like it a lot. Cables cables cables!
Pattern: Jaeger Hazel tank
Yarn: Jaeger Trinity, shade 449
Source: Jaeger Handknits booklet JB 34
This was the first time I'd knit a Jaeger pattern and it was well written. I found no mistakes and made no alterations. It was also the first time I'd knit with Trinity, a blend of silk, cotton, and polyamide. It's slightly nubby or boucle, and has great yardage (218 yds.). I have enough skeins left to make a second tank that I liked in the booklet, "Ray". This yarn is discontinued, which is why I got a bag of 10 at a great price from Webs. (The back is plain stockinette, hence no shots.)
The pattern did not call for wet blocking, but for pressing the pieces with a "cool iron" before seaming. I guess that means the lowest setting, which really means warm, unless someone knows something about irons that I don't. So I set the iron on low, covered the pieces with a pillowcase. and gently pressed, especially around the slightly curling edges. It turned out OK, but I see no reason not to block it my regular way, which I'll be doing after washing the tank anyhow. It will smooth things out a bit.
That looks very nice on you. It looks like a good pattern with an armhole not too long. That's one of my pet peeves with some patterns. Great job!

I agree, the arm opening looks perfect! What a great fit and a beautiful cable pattern! Great work!

Beautiful! I hope you get to keep this one.

That turned out so well! I think Jaeger patterns are elegant. I suppose they'll discontinue those with the yarn :(

A perfect summer knit -- cables, but no sleeves. I agree with Dorothy; I hope you get to keep this one!

Can't wait to see it up close and in person. Are you wearing/bringing it to the meeting?
