I had planned to reupholster a foot stool that was my Dad's for this chair, but it was way to low. I found the matching ottoman online, which for some reason was not sold by the same company that sold the chair. It's huge, can serve as another seat, and is the perfect size for a cat nap for an actual cat. It looks like it has storage, but unfortunately it doesn't. I still plan to reupholster the little foot stool, which will need to be placed elsewhere.
Healey's News store called when the two Pussyhat magazines arrived, and they'll be saved for posterity.
D gave me a gift card for 4 art lessons in Westerly. I chose watercolors. Last summer I bought supplies at Michaels with a gift card from the Special Ed department, which have been sitting unused. The flower picture is the start of my first attempt, which will be finished next lesson. The teacher handed me a painting of a flower to copy, and by happy coincidence it was in my favorite orange.
I've gotten back to work on the Mirkwood hooded scarf. Five repeats done on the scarf section, 3 more to go.
I was one of the lucky raffle winners at last night's guild meeting. I received 3 skeins of Queensland Uluru fingering yarn, about 1200 yards in all! Off to Ravelry to research what I can make with it.
