After knitting 20 pussyhats for the Women's March and RI rally, finishing the last one the night before, I was definitely ready for something new. I had ordered some yarn during Loveknitting's winter sale, including Debbie Bliss Boheme. a nice soft bulky wool blend. I started the Triangular Scarf that Friday night, and finished it on the following Tuesday!
It was so nice to knit something not pink and that didn't stress my hands the way the hats did. The 'scarf' is actually sewn up to make a poncho. It was extra fast because of the bulky yarn and size 13 needles. The true color doesn't photograph well; it's actually pine and lighter greens with a black and yellow thread. I wore it once beofre blocking and it looks good and makes a cozy shoulder warmer. I decided to block it as the edges were rolling under.
Tuffy has been ever such a mother's little helper this week.
Today is one of my Project Feederwatch days, and I'm excited that there were 10 goldfinches at the nyjer seed feeder!
I love this fabulous collage that Casey of Ravelry made from pictures that members had posted wearing their pussyhats, in the form of the Women's March logo. It would be great to have a poster made from it, but I guess there would be issues about contacting everyone in the pictures for permission. I did make it my laptop wallpaper.
