There was yarn left over; I may have been able to add a ninth wedge but didn't want to risk it.
Now, I don't know if I'd wear this, or any of the shawls or scarfy things I've ever made. I don't wear them well and feel sloppy in them (with Citron being an exception). Recently I donated 4 items to my friend's Salamatu Foundation fundraiser. They were fun to make, but I'd never worn them and they were wasting away in storage. They are the Rolling Hills Capelet, the Grand Plan Capelet, a hemp shawl, and the Lacy Kerchief Scarf, so pretty, by Lisa Daehlin.
My friend Marilyn and I had a picnic lunch and stroll at Harkness Park. There is a mansion and lovely gardens, plus beach views.
I kind of consider anything I buy during the summer as a birthday present to myself. Thus the oversize polka-dotted ceramic teacup hanger planted with yellow portulaca. What, you don't spread your birthday out over 3 months?
