Well, things have been a little stressful recently so I'm glad to have spring vacation this week. You may recall that my son had been working in Alaska for a year and half before coming home this summer to work again in RI. He planned to buy a house right near his place of employment, and had gotten the ball rolling with the bank, when in January he learned that the RI facility was closing. He re-applied for the job in Alaska, and 2 weeks ago he headed back. Mom is not happy. Above is the almost-last-supper, when we went out for my husband's birthday. (We all kept our jackets on because the restaurant was freezing.)
J's moving, along with illness in the family, another observation/evaluation at school, and much going on with Moms Demand Action as the RI legislature hears testimony on gun bills this month, has been keeping me in a whirl, even on this week off. The one positive thing about J leaving- though it doesn't make up for it- is that Tuffy is now giving me the time of day!
I've been in a knitting funk for a while, just working on the feather and fan throw and another slouchy hat, but I'm feeling the urge to start new things. I did cast on a new project which I'll show next time.
