Here are my lovely Valentine roses from D. He consulted his personal florist this year- K, who works at the local grocery store, had a crash course in the floral department so she could help out with the Valentines Day rush.
Incredibly, school is closed again today as the roads were icy. Only a few schools in RI had delays today, but in nearby CT, where I work, at least half the schools are closed. I WILL finish the Julianna sleeve today.
A bad photo of birds and squirrels taken through the window. When Pip was still with us, and all the hunting female cats deceased, including our neighbor's, the wild birds joined in eating her chicken feed and scratch. After Pip died, I continued feeding them her remaining food, then bought real wild bird seed at Agway. I also hung some suet feeders. My parents always had several bird feeders in the yard and we enjoyed watching them, as well as following my dad's perpetual, and futile, war on squirrels. Now I've got the bird ID books by the window, and need to hunt up my binoculars. Looks like I've got a new hobby, unless we adopt another cat whose hobby is bird hunting.
