The sad news first- Pip, our last surviving chicken, died 2 days before Christmas. Who knew you could become so attached to a chicken? She was so full of chicken personality, a sociable little being who loved being around her people, cats, and the songbirds and squirrels in the yard.
Look closely through the screen- you can see Pip sharing her food with sparrows and squirrel!

We had a quiet Christmas at home with the kids and my dad; John had been in Alaska the past two Christmases so it was great to have him here again!
Yesterday I attached the fringe to the Doctor Who scarf for my son-in-law, and it is done! I knit it exactly half length.
I have more modeled photos, but my photo editor is acting up and hiding them on me at the moment.
This evening D and I went to a New Year's Eve bonfire, where a monument of 2000 wooden pallets was burned. Very impressive. Then came home for Chinese takeout.
Wishing everyone a happy and healthy New Year!
