The house is looking half-way decent after some spring cleaning- at least downstairs. I indulged in some pretty flowers, some shown here, for Easter decorating and beyond. I've ordered some 'saddle' flower boxes for the pansies. They are notched on the bottom so they fit on the deck railings without hardware.
The bolero, which is worked in one piece, is coming along remarkably quickly. The yarn is black Jaeger Aqua (discontinued) which was in the stash. It is 100% cotton and a dream to work with- no splitting, glides along the needle, and no black dye on my hands.
John came home from Alaska on Tuesday. He had left in early January for a "two week" job. He returned looking like Grizzly Adams, not having shaved or cut his hair in that time. Then he showed up again today clean shaven, and now looks more like Leave it to Beaver.
Flowers!!! Isn't it wonderful? I'll have to look for those saddle flower boxes for the deck. I've planted lettuce seeds in the regular ones. :)
Glad your bolero is behaving. K's wedding must be super-close now. I hope plans are continuing to go smoothly.
