This is post #500, coincidentally falling on New Year's Day. We had a random drawing and pulled two lucky winners for the 500 contest....Blogless Issy, and Erika!!!! Once again, there is a repeat winner - Issy was a winner in the recent Guess the Number of Skeins contest. (She follows in the footsteps of multiple-time winners Debby and Cathy.) Congratulations to you both. I will search the stash for yarn goodies to send out soon, if you will send me your snail mail addresses. Thanks to all who entered by commenting.
Is anyone else wondering what the heck I've been able to blather about over 500 posts in 3 1/2 years?
I am bowled over by the new Vogue Knitting Winter '07-'08, I love so many patterns in it. Just a few of them are featured on the link. (It took me a while to find the previews - click on Magazine and then on Fashion Preview.)
I'm working on the Fana pullover, and guess what. It won't be for me. It is coming out way too small (no, I didn't swatch and yes, I know I always have gauge issues with stranded knitting.) However I'm not frogging. This sweater is being knit for the pleasure of the process. It looks like it will turn out around a child's size 10 but I won't know until it is finished. It will eventually fit somebody, or else if the library has another raffle I can donate it for a worthy cause.
Ooops, I did it again!! How exciting! Thanks Kristen.

The sweater will be just as nice for a child! You've made a lot of progress on it already! Congrats Issy and Erika ;-)

Congratulations! As for the gauge thing, good attitude. It will be gorgeous no matter who it fits!

Congratulations on post #500 and to the winners. The pullover is going to be very pretty; too bad you are going to give it away. The table runner came out so nicely. I've been thinking about making something for our kitchen table too one of these days.

Very frustrating that VK takes so long to cross the border into Canada. Some times it's weeks before we see the new issues, will take a look today. Thanks for the heads up.
