I was supposed to donate platelets for the first time today. When I got to the blood center, however, which has only one pheresis machine, they had just gotten a call that someone needed a certain type of blood and that they had a matching donor coming in. So I'll go again in a few weeks.
I'm avoiding finishing poor AbFab. I started trying to single crochet the edging, but kind of forgot how to get it started. Plus you are supposed to get artsy by changing the yarns along each square - so I have to look up how to do that too. Instead I've been working happily on Dylan, finishing the front and starting on the sleeve.
My car book is Maeve Binchy's Nights of Rain and Stars. It is sappy and full of stereotyped characters and situations, and stilted conversations. I can't say I'm enjoying it that much, but it is something to listen to while driving. Quite a contrast to the substantial content of Reading Lolita in Tehran. While adding the Amazon link for Binchy's books I glimpsed some negative reviews - gotta go check them out now.

Dylan is looking great! Now, finish up AbFab so you can get that weight off!
